Caregiver Support Group

  • Adirondack Community Counseling 28 Saint Bernard Street Saranac Lake, NY, 12983 United States (map)

Our loved ones get sick. Maybe it's for a short time. Maybe it's forever. Maybe they have changed and are not the same person. Maybe they are aging and are limited in their life skills and independence.  Whether you have had a very close, loving relationship or a more complicated relationship with this person over the years, the process of being a caregiver is very challenging.  Perhaps you work in the helping field and are experiencing compassion fatigue and burnout. When we see people we care about hurting ad struggling, it's hard.

We can be committed to being the biggest most solid rock or maybe we are not sure how to deal. We all could use some support when we help others. For as much as we give and witness every day, it's helpful to be able to vent and process what all of this means in our lives and for us as supporters. Come take a break, relax and be with others that are going through the same process with people they care about.

This group will meet monthly, third Tuesday of every month.

$5 suggested donation.
